Put what on? That thing? What is it? It looks like a jet pack.
It's scuba gear.
Scuba gear?
Yep. We're strapping on our scuba gear and going deep-sea diving into the great stories and poems of the world, just to see what's down there! We'll discover new ideas, some strange, some familiar. We'll bump into characters that stay with us for the rest of our lives. We'll hear the music of language, the lilt and sway of it, and feel the sweep and force of its current.
Lilt? Sway? Music of language? Are you for real?
Real as a stick of margarine. And, because we've each got our own ocean of cool stuff inside us, we'll learn how to share our ideas with everyone else. We'll become writers! you'll get so you can really sling words together in ways people really dig! You'll feel cool and strong. And part magic.
Me? A word slinger? that really would take some magic.

Yes it is. But it's the kind of work that feels good. When we expose ourselves to new ideas, and learn to think and communicate with power, our minds sttrrrettcchhhh! In this class our couch-potato brains will get kicked off the sofa now and then!
